Squirrel Nutkin Goes a Nutting
Yarn Inspiration:
Beatrix Potter has to be one of my favourite British authors. Her love of nature is inspirational and her tiny tales are quite enchanting!
Squirrel Nutkin, Twinkleberry and all the other little red squirrels made their way over to Owl Island to gather nuts. It's an English tradition that human children participated in too, although I don't think they were as impertinent as little Squirrel Nutkin was as he teased Old Brown with his little riddles! Poor little Squirrel Nutkin ended up losing his tail due to his cheeky ways.
In fact, if you ask him to this day if he enjoys a good riddle he will shout at you throwing sticks and twigs at you. He gets frightfully upset! I have a few squirrels that live in a huge beech tree in my garden.
Usually, they are happy to go about their business of gathering nuts but every so often I hear them getting very upset, shouting, and leaping from branch to branch. Perhaps another little woodland creature has decided to tell a riddle!

~ 75% Superwash Wool
~ 25% Nylon
~ 425m per 100g
~ Knitting Needle size - 2mm - 3mm/ US 0-2
My yarn bases come from a local supplier that prides itself in sourcing its fibre from reliable suppliers with best practices with regard to animal husbandry and the environment, something that is very important to me.
I use acid dyes unless otherwise stated.

Darker colours may run, bleed or transfer and although I take every precaution to ensure colour fastness I cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by colour transfer or bleeding in a wash.
